It's not that I don't like this as a piece and a whole, but I don't fully understand why it was chosen as a DD. I always thought a DD should be a piece that holds it own, not a piece that requires you to go and look at the rest of it to get why it was chosen.

Regardless, I rather like the style and I'm amused that there is a very large amphibian talking to this guy. xD Very nice.

hello! I submitted this to the person in charge of DDs in the "Comics and Cartoons" section. I left it up to them to decide if it was appropriate to feature the whole comic via the first page, and it looks like they thought it was fine.

I think it should be fine too. To expect every DD to stand alone would mean that no comic longer than a page can be a DD.

Well, it's ultimately up to them, frankly. They did make a good choice, they typically do.
I'd make a sorry DD-chooser, I guess...
